Job summary

Solutionz, Inc. seeks a Lead AV Technician to drive projects through testing, commissioning, and closeout, owning installations to ensure work meets the project scope and Solutionz quality standards.

You will collaborate with Field Services, Engineering, Operations, and site personnel to resolve issues, verify documentation, and complete projects for customer sites across the Greater Atlanta Area and Southeast region.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience installing, integrating, commissioning, and troubleshooting commercial audiovisual systems.
• Demonstrated experience leading installation teams and coordinating project completion activities.
• Strong knowledge of AV signal flow, control systems, DSP platforms, conferencing technologies, and network-based AV systems.
• Experience performing system commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance activities.
• Ability to read and interpret AV drawings, wiring diagrams, construction documents, and system schematics.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage project priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience mentoring and training technicians and other field personnel.
• CTS certification preferred; CTS-I preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general PC-based applications.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel as required to support project and customer needs.
• Occasional after-hours and weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure completion of the final phase of assigned projects, including all outstanding punch list items.
• Maintain ownership of assigned projects until all work is complete in accordance with the project scope.
• Communicate project status, outstanding items, and completion needs to the Director of Field Services, Director of Engineering, or Director of Operations, depending on office location.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager and Lead Field Engineer as projects approach the final phase.
• Test the basic functionality of all installed equipment before project technicians are released from the project.
• Work with the Lead Field Engineer to verify project drawings are current and all redlines have been completed.
• Troubleshoot system issues and perform final commissioning as required.
• Manage RMA requests and the return of defective, unused, or replacement equipment associated with assigned projects.
• Verify that all remaining project requirements have been completed before the project is considered closed.
• Communicate identified deficiencies, technical concerns, or additional work requirements to the appropriate project stakeholders.
