Job summary

Accenture Construct is seeking a senior on-site engineering leader to deliver multi-jurisdictional bridge and roadway improvement projects. You will support the Resident Engineer with field oversight, QA, and contract administration, and you will supervise daily inspections and documentation to ensure conformance with plans and specifications.

The role requires PE licensure (EIT acceptable), eight years of public works inspection experience, and strong knowledge of structural mechanics.

Qualifications

• California Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred; Engineer In Training (EIT) required.
• Eight (8) years of roadway/highway construction inspection and field engineering experience on major public works projects.
• One (1) Caltrans-administered or federally funded highway project.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in structural mechanics, stress analysis, or bridge construction inspection.

Responsibilities

• Deliver complex, multi-jurisdictional bridge and roadway improvement projects.
• Support Resident Engineer with field oversight, inspection, quality assurance, and contract administration.
• Perform and oversee daily inspections and quality assurance activities for bridge and roadway construction.
• Verify contractor work for conformance with approved plans, specifications, and special provisions.
• Coordinate with contractors, utilities, public agencies, and Construction Management Consultants to resolve field issues and minimize delays.
• Review contractor submittals, RFI responses, progress schedules, and other project documentation.
