Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a certified Medical Assistant program.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Phlebotomy training and licensure if required by practice.
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in a medical office.
• Experience with a medical specialty and ability to collaborate with teams.
• Certified Medical Assistant credential.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient flow, assist with exams and procedures, and document history.
• Perform clerical tasks: scheduling, records, and insurance verifications.
• Set up instruments, maintain infection control, and restock rooms.
• Support emergency codes, patient rights, and team communication.
• Assist in clinical care per state scope, including vital signs and basic procedures.
