Job summary
Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago is seeking a Medical Assistant – Float to support physicians, nurses and staff across clinics. You will facilitate patient flow, prepare exam rooms and perform routine clinical tasks in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.
Must be a certified/registered MA with 0–2 years' experience; you’ll complete CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA within six months and maintain BLS. The role offers comprehensive benefits and the ability to travel between Northwestern Medicine sites
Qualifications
- Must be a certified/registered Medical Assistant.
- Zero to two years’ experience in a relevant role.
- Must obtain CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA within six months of employment.
- American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification required.
Responsibilities
- Support physicians, nurses and medical staff by facilitating efficient patient flow.
- Prepare exam rooms and assist with clinical procedures and related administrative tasks.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure clean, safe patient care areas.
- Assist in order entry, specimen collection and routine testing as directed by the Provider.
- Travel to various Northwestern Medicine clinics to support staffing needs.
