Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant Float-Multi Specialty North Region for 40 hours per week at the Lake Forest hospital campus. The role includes travel to multiple NM sites and a schedule of 7a-5:30p, with a focus on patient flow and high-quality care.

Responsibilities include assisting with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, and CLIA-waived testing, while maintaining exam rooms, inventories, and patient confidentiality. Certification within six months is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain CMA/RCMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA within 6 months of hire.
• Experience not required or 0–2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support clinics across Northwestern Medicine to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and collect vitals.
• Assist with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations and CLIA-waived testing as directed.
• Prepare and stock exam rooms; maintain supply inventory and equipment.
• Promote patient satisfaction through professional, friendly interactions.
