Job summary

RTX is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for an onsite Melbourne, FL role. This position supports the Quality Management System on the production floor, conducts audits, and partners with Quality Engineers to address nonconforming material and containment.

It offers growth opportunities in a hands-on, collaborative environment. Key duties include performing process audits, enforcing quality policies, coaching operators, and leading investigations to identify root causes.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or AA/AS with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience reading blueprints and customer specifications.
• Experience with hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Perform product and process audits, including Process Walks (LPAs), Surveillance, and Certifications.
• Enforce quality policies and procedures to maintain product integrity.
• Support operator and inspector skill development through hands-on training and coaching.
• Coordinate suspect product containment and corrective actions with Quality Engineers.
• Identify quality trends and lead Sherlock Investigations for RCCA.
• Manage the flow of non-conforming materials per site procedures.
• Create and deliver Quality Alerts communicating quality-related changes on the floor.
• Collaborate effectively across teams and communicate clearly at all levels.
