Job summary

RTX’s Heavy Maintenance Center is seeking a Quality Engineer to join a dynamic team responsible for MRO operations on engine components. You will partner with inspectors, engineers, and operations to ensure quality and compliance across processes and products.

This onsite role requires collaboration, data-driven problem solving, and experience with AS9100/ISO 9001. Candidates should be prepared for travel up to 10% and to participate in audits and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in technical discipline or business field; minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.
• Travel up to 10%.
• MS Office proficiency: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams & SharePoint.
• Experience with AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• The selected candidate must be able to work closely with Quality Inspectors, Process & Methods Engineers, Operations Team to support MRO Operations.
• Demonstrate a high level of customer focus, business judgment and teamwork.
• Demonstrated ability to interface and lead cross functional teams.
• Communicate with various levels of management, business partners and supply base.
• Collect and analyze data to minimize workflow disruptions and eliminate nonconformances/escapes.
• Lead the investigation of quality related work stops and turn-backs using Quality Improvement tools such as RCCA and Process Analysis support and facilitate investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions while preventing future recurrence.
• Manage escapes and investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions while preventing future recurrence.
• Lead Quality System, process, and product audits.
• Assist 3rd Party Audits as required.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Generate and modify applicable Quality System documentation to ensure processes and requirements are clearly defined.
