Job summary

Aston Carter seeks an Accounts Payable Clerk to manage the manual entry of approximately 1,500 invoices per week, ensuring accuracy and timely payments in Irving, TX. This contract-to-hire role requires attention to detail and solid accounting fundamentals.

You will process and code vendor invoices, match to POs, prepare payments, reconcile statements, and support month-end close. Onsite work at our Irving office with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Experience working within an ERP or accounting system.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process and code vendor invoices.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and process vendor payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate AP records and documentation.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues.
• Assist with month-end close and AP reconciliations.
• Maintain vendor information and assist with new vendor setup.
• Support the accounting team with additional projects as needed.
