Aston Carter is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in Irving, TX to manage the end‑to‑end invoice‑to‑pay process with a strong emphasis on PO processing and 3‑way matching. The role includes processing vendor payments and supporting month‑end close while ensuring compliance.

Collaborate with internal partners and vendors to obtain banking details, resolve payment issues, and uphold accuracy and timeliness in disbursements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounts payable and disbursements experience with solid AP knowledge.
• Experience with PO processing and 3-way match in invoices.
• Proficiency in payments by checks, ACH, and wire transfers; familiarity with audit/compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review and process high-priority invoices with a focus on PO-based transactions and 3-way match.
• Research discrepancies and ensure accurate general ledger coding.
• Process vendor payments (checks, ACH, wires) per terms and policies.
• Review and reconcile disbursement batches and payment runs for accuracy.
• Monitor payment runs and deadlines to avoid late fees.
• Support month-end close with AP data reconciliation and reporting.
• Maintain audit/compliance throughout the invoice-to-pay process.
• Respond to vendor inquiries with clear, timely communication.
• Contribute to AP process improvements and adapt to system changes.
