Job summary

Unknown Client is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor for a long-term contract in Costa Mesa. This onsite role oversees daily accounting operations, supports month-end close and financial reporting, and focuses on staff development.

Responsibilities include supervising entries, reconciliations, and GL activity, while driving process improvements and ensuring internal controls compliance. W2 only, C2C not considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
• Experience in a large corporate environment preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting activities and support accounting team members.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Monitor compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
• Partner with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
