Job summary

Prattwhitney is looking for a Maintenance Technician for the 1st shift in Coralville. Responsibilities include performing maintenance and repairs on systems and production equipment while ensuring safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a HS Diploma or 2+ years of relevant experience, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to obtain a security clearance. Benefits include medical insurance, 401(k) matching, and generous vacation time.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required; if lacking, 2+ years relevant experience.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Physical requirements: lift/carry up to 50 lbs, forklift certification.
• Reading technical manuals, drawings, schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform project work, unplanned repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Schedule maintenance on electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with Engineers to improve performance.
• Maintain HVAC and security/safety systems.

Skills

Troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems

Interpersonal skills

Ability to work with electrical systems up to 480V

Education

HS Diploma or 2+ years relevant experience if lacking
