Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 1st shift at our Coralville facility. The role involves performing project work, unplanned repairs, and preventive maintenance on production equipment to ensure safe, reliable operations.

You will troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems, read schematics, and work with engineers to improve equipment performance. Candidates must furnish their own hand tools and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance required.
• Ability to read technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Must furnish own hand tools and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform project work, unplanned repairs, and preventive maintenance on facility systems and production equipment.
• Maintain and repair electrical/mechanical equipment to maximize uptime.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment; collaborate with Engineers to improve performance.
• Work with HVAC, chilled water, compressed gases, and security/safety systems.
• Maintain records and complete necessary paperwork; lift up to 50 lbs; work 1st shift.
