Job summary

Prattwhitney is seeking a Senior Technician, Facilities Maintenance for the 2nd shift on-site. The role focuses on installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical systems, HVAC systems, and fire protection equipment.

Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance on HVAC units, and maintaining fire detection and suppression systems, along with general preventive maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2‑year post‑high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Proven experience in industrial electrical systems, HVAC maintenance, and fire protection systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various industrial settings, including confined spaces and heights.
Availability to work in shifts, weekends, or on‑call as needed.

Responsibilities

Electrical Systems: Diagnose electrical issues using testing equipment and implement corrective measures; ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
HVAC Systems: Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC units, including inspection and replacement of filters, belts, and components to maintain optimal performance.
Fire Protection Systems: Maintain fire detection and suppression systems such as alarms, sprinklers, and extinguishers.
General Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment; respond to machine breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions; follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout protocols, and facility maintenance standards.
