Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic/Plumber for 1st shift to install, maintain and repair plumbing systems in an industrial facility. You will perform preventive maintenance and repair pump systems, including centrifugal and air diaphragm pumps, with opportunity to lead renovations related to plumbing trades.

Qualifications include a HS diploma, 2+ years in industrial plumbing, and CT P1/P2 license.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of plumbing experience in industrial/commercial/manufacturing environments.
• P1 or CT State P2 plumbing license is required.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair piping, fixtures, and equipment for domestic water, wastewater, sanitary and gas systems according to specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks for facility plumbing equipment.
• Install, troubleshoot, rebuild, and repair pump systems including centrifugal and air diaphragm pumps.
• Plan and execute facility renovation projects related to plumbing trade.
• Assist other trades with complex repairs and material handling.
• Work in an industrial facility, prioritize work, and respond professionally to needs.
