Job summary

ACCEL Schools Online is seeking a Program Director to lead initial operations and establish strong data-driven instructional practices for student achievement. The role emphasizes collaboration with partners, compliance, and robust family engagement while guiding staff through the first year of operations.

Ideal candidates hold a Master's in Education/Leadership, with 5+ years teaching and 2+ years as an instructional coach or leader in online settings. North Carolina residency is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education, Administration, or Organizational Leadership.
• Minimum of five years’ experience as a successful teacher.
• Two years’ experience as an Instructional Coach, Teacher Leader, or related position in an online school strongly preferred.
• Track record of building positive working relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the school team through launch and the first year of operations.
• Oversee school functions: records, testing, attendance, personnel, office and finance, facilities.
• Design and implement programs for family engagement across distances.
• Provide feedback, PD and coaching for teachers in mastering instructional practices.
• Monitor student achievement data to inform instruction and drive improvement.
