Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Front End/To Go Lead to manage online order operations, hire and train staff, and drive excellent customer service. You will schedule shifts, oversee performance, and coordinate with department managers to maintain stock levels and store goals.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Accreditation by National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or equivalent is required or achievable within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manages Food Lion To Go operations, including hiring, training and development of department associates.
• Supervise performance and conduct timely performance appraisals for direct reports.
• Maintain effective work schedules to meet online order demand and minimize customer inconvenience.
• Provide leadership to promote company values and store goals.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Partner with department managers to handle fresh orders and out-of-stocks.
• Ensure items are restocked promptly and perishable items are prioritized.
• Model outstanding customer service and use product knowledge to meet customer expectations.
• Control store expenses through procurement habits and equipment care.
• Understand and utilize company tools and reporting systems.
