Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is hiring for a role supporting online order fulfillment in a fast-paced grocery setting. You will select quality products, handle substitutions, and ensure accurate checkout and safe storage for pickup.

You’ll work in a retail environment with a focus on friendly service, product knowledge, and adherence to food safety standards. Prior experience is a plus; must be able to multitask and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Six or more months of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 16 years of age required; 21 years of age required in Louisiana.
• Ability to operate a cash register and basic payment handling.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and temperature requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares online customer orders by selecting quality products with speed and accuracy.
• Identifies item out-of-stocks, recommends substitutions of similar value, and promotes advertised specials.
• Ensures accurate checkout totals for customers by properly weighing, keying, and scanning items.
• Remains current on product knowledge and food safety standards to ensure quality and freshness of orders.
• Places orders in storage at proper food temperature and retrieves from storage for customer pickup.
• Organizes, bags, and loads orders into customer vehicle.
• Maintains friendly, customer-service-oriented attitude and handles substitutions and questions.
