Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Special Needs Caregiver in East Bay to support children and adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors. The role involves direct behavioral intervention, data collection, and assisting with daily living activities in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work or related field preferred.
• At least one year of experience with children/adults with special needs and challenging behaviors.
• Current in-person CPR/First Aid certification for Adult & Children.
• Updated TB test.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one-behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges.
• Assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior and crisis intervention.
• Assist client with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, meals, dressing, ambulation.
• Implement and collect data of behaviors and goals from the Behavior Support Plan.

Education
