Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Emeryville is seeking an Intensive Behavioral Support Provider to work with children and/or adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors. You will deliver one-to-one behavioral intervention services and support daily program activities.

The role includes assisting with personal care, collecting data on behaviors per the Behavior Support Plan, and collaborating with a care team to promote effective, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in educational or healthcare settings preferred.
• At least 1 year working with individuals with special needs who display challenging behaviors preferred.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work or related field preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one behavioral intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges.
• Assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior areas and crisis intervention.
• Assist with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, meals, dressing, undressing, and mobility as needed.
• Implement and collect data on behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan.
