Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Oakland is hiring for an In-Home Intensive Behavioral Support Provider to work with children and/or adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors. You will deliver one-to-one behavior intervention, support daily activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior, assist with personal care, and collect data per the Behavior Support Plan.

A high school diploma and relevant experience are required; health coverage, PTO, and retirement

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year experience with children/adults with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work or related field preferred.
• Experience in educational or healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one-behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges.
• Provide/assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor, and behavior areas and crisis intervention.
• Assist client with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparation and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation and other activities as needed.
• Implement and collect data of the behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan.
