Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Fremont is hiring for a Behavioral Caregiver to work with children and/or adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors. Starting pay is $27-29 per hour and the position involves providing one-to-one behavior intervention services in a supportive, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in educational or healthcare setting preferred.
• At least one year of experience with individuals with special needs who display challenging behaviors.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences or related field preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one-behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges.
• Assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior areas and crisis intervention.
• Assist with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, meals, dressing, ambulation and other activities as needed.
• Implement and collect data of the behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan.

Education
