Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services in San Jose - Peninsula area, CA is hiring for Behavioral Support Aide to work with children and adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors.

You will provide one-to-one behavioral interventions, assist with daily activities, and help collect data for the Behavior Support Plan. The role offers flexible scheduling (PT and FT), paid training, and benefits including health, dental, vision, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of experience with individuals with special needs who display challenging behaviors.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in educational or healthcare setting preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one behavioral intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges.
• Assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior and crisis intervention.
• Assist with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation and other activities as needed.
• Implement and collect data of the behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan.
