Job summary

Vancouver Public Schools in Vancouver, WA seeks a Special Program Paraeducator 2 for Sarah J Anderson Elementary. This one-on-one position supports a student in an Integrated Communication & Sensory Program, 6.5 hours per day, nine months per year.

Qualifications

• Documentation verifying a high school diploma or GED AND
• An Associate’s degree or 72 quarter/48 semester credits or ParaPro score 461+ required or preferred
• One year of related experience with children in education preferred
• Experience on an educational team and strong interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher and provide one-on-one support to students.
• Implement educational programs and help with behavior management.
• Attend training and help with data collection and progress notes.
• Support students with communication, sensory needs, and daily living skills.
