Job summary

Vancouver Public Schools in Washington state is seeking a Special Program Paraeducator 2 for the Integrated Communication & Sensory Program. This is a one-on-one position, 2 hours per day, 9 months per year, NON-EXEMPT under FLSA.

The paraeducator supports instructional activities and assists the teacher with data collection and implementing goals. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with additional college credit or ETS ParaPro score; one year of related experience preferred,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Official transcripts showing higher education credits or an ETS ParaPro score may satisfy education requirements.
• One year of related experience in an educational setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with implementing goals and objectives on individual student plans.
• Support academic and sensory integration activities during class.
• Maintain data collection records as assigned by certificated staff.
• Provide assistance with lessons, materials preparation, and student supervision as needed.
• Work collaboratively with the Integrated Communication & Sensory Program team to support students.
