Job summary

Qualifications

• Documentation verifying a high school diploma or GED AND
• One of the following: official transcripts showing an Associate’s degree OR 72 quarter or 48 semester credits OR ETS ParaPro Assessment 461+
• One year of related experience with children in an educational setting preferred
• Successful experience as part of an educational team preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills
• Experience with children with moderate to severe disabilities preferred

Responsibilities

• Support the teacher in implementing and evaluating goals on individual student IEPs
• Monitor and collect data; provide instructional assistance as directed
• Assist with classroom management, behavior support, and de-escalation strategies
• Support self-regulation, sensory integration, and basic life skills activities
• Collaborate with certificated staff and other service providers as needed
• Attend team meetings and participate in training sessions
