Job summary

Qualifications

• Documentation verifying a high school diploma or GED
• Associate degree or 72 quarter credits / 48 semester credits or ParaPro score 461+
• One year of related experience preferred
• Experience on educational team preferred
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Ability to de-escalate and manage student behavior

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher by implementing goals and objectives in student IEPs
• Manage student behavior and support small groups or individuals
• Observe and document student progress; maintain data records
• Attend training meetings and participate in CPI/de-escalation training
• Assist with classroom activities, lesson prep, and materials
• Perform other duties as assigned by the administrator
