Job summary

Vancouver Public Schools is hiring a Paraeducator, Learning Support to provide one-on-one assistance under the supervision of a certificated teacher. This non-exempt position works 6.5 hours per day, 9 months per year, supporting individualized learning goals and classroom activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; official transcripts may be requested.
• Experience working with children in educational settings preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse student populations.
• Strong problem solving and adaptability in classroom environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist certificated staff with classroom activities and student progress.
• Support individualized instruction in reading, writing, math, and social/behavioral skills.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional interactions with students and staff.
• Utilize basic technology to collect data and support instructional plans.
