Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) seeks a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support K-12 students with intensive behavioral needs within in-district classrooms or standalone schools.

You will assist students with goals outlined in their IEP, applying PBIS-based strategies and collecting behavior data. The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, de-escalation techniques, and personal care support as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Experience implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive behavioral needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one on one with an assigned student to meet goals in the IEP, providing accommodations as needed.
• Assist in developing and modifying behavior support plans.
• Implement and track data on behaviors, progress, and incidents.
• Utilize behavior support strategies and de-escalation techniques as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure consistent plan implementation.
• Communicate effectively with parents.
