Job summary

YMCA of Orange County is seeking Part-Time Youth Development Staff to support children grades TK–6 in the San Gabriel Valley area. The role involves mentoring students ages 5-12 through structured activities (STEM, arts, homework) and fostering a warm, inclusive environment.

You will model core values—Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility—and contribute to positive social-emotional growth. Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 1:30pm–6:00pm.

Qualifications

• Minimum Age: 18+ years old.
• Experience: 6 months experience working with children preferred in after-school, camp, or daycare setting.
• Education: 48 college units or passing proficiency exam prior to hire for non-licensed/ASES programs.

The YMCA of Orange County is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We are actively seeking highly engaged, intentional, and service-oriented individuals for Part-time Youth Development Staff who will be working with children on a one-on-one basis or with a group of students grades ranging Transitional Kinder to 6th grade in San Gabriel Valley.

Work Schedule: General hours would include Monday to Friday 1:30pm to 6pm.
