Job summary

The YMCA of Orange County in Brea, CA is seeking Part-time Afterschool Program Staff to support students at Falcon, Laurel, Country Hills, Mariposa, Brea Olinda, and Arovista Elementary Schools. Schedule is Monday–Friday 1pm–6pm, with variations.

You will mentor children ages 5–12 through curriculum-aligned activities (STEM, arts, homework), demonstrate core values, and help create a safe, welcoming environment for kids and families. A conditional offer triggers background checks and onboarding.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18+ years.
• 6 months experience working with children preferred in after-school, camp, or daycare settings.
• Some college units or passing proficiency exam prior to hire for non-licensed/ASES/ELOP programs.
