Duke Raleigh Hospital, a campus of Duke University Health System, is seeking a Nursing Assistant I for the Inpatient Medical Oncology Unit. The role supports RN/LPN with direct patient care, vital signs, and basic treatments to ensure comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include data collection, charting in the EMR, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. A Level I Nurse Aide program completion and BCLS certification are required.

Formación

• Completion of a Level I - Nurse Aide education program approved by the NC Board of Nursing.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Currently listed as a Nursing Assistant (NA I) with the Division of Facility Services with no substantiated findings of abuse, fraud, neglect or misappropriation of property.
• BCLS certification must be maintained/completed by the end of new hire orientation.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for specific procedures and provide manual assistance as required.
• Obtain and record patient data for medical records.
• Administer treatment and personal care procedures including feeding, bathing, and mobility assistance.
• Assist providers and nurses with physical examinations by helping position patients and applying dressings.
• Take and record vital signs and monitor patient condition, reporting changes promptly.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transportation of patients; follow standard precautions.
