Duke Raleigh Hospital, a campus of Duke University Hospital, is seeking a Nursing Care Assistant I/Health Unit Coordinator for the 4700 Surgical Oncology unit on a 32-bed stepdown. You will perform essential patient care tasks, assist with procedures, and support admission and discharge processes.

The role requires BCLS certification with ongoing education; clinical hospital experience preferred. This position offers night shifts (3–12 hours) and opportunities to develop skills in wound care,

Qualifications

• Clinical experience in a hospital or ambulatory setting preferred.
• Pre-employment Physical Capacity Testing may be required.
• EMR navigation and BCLS certification are relevant requirements.

Responsabilités

• Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for procedures and provide needed assistance.
• Obtain and record patient data for medical records and inform RN/LPN.
• Assist with admission, discharge and transportation of patients.
• Take and record vital signs and apply basic nursing tasks.
• Support wound care and dressing changes as needed.
• Follow standard precautions and use PPE as required.
