Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited RN program.
• At least 3 years of experience in a hospital or outpatient setting.
• Current Registered Nurse License issued by State of Illinois.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Triage all incoming calls and electronic messages, prioritizing and resolving with provider input.
• Document all communications in the electronic medical record.
• Schedule visits with providers when triage indicates.
• Coordinate emergencies and transfers, including paperwork and calls.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the provider.
• Provide education to patients and staff on clinical topics.
• Assist in coordinating clinical staff coverage and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Assist in orientation of new staff and participate in quality improvement.
