Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a skilled RN with oncology experience to triage calls, assess patient needs, and coordinate care across the cancer care team. The role emphasizes patient-centered education, symptom management, and collaboration with physicians and PAs/ARNPs to ensure timely, high-quality care.

You will work under general supervision, following policies and guidelines, contributing to reduced emergency visits and improved patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse multistate or Florida single state licensure required.
• Two years or more of experience as an RN.
• One year or more of oncology experience required.
• Oncology-specific knowledge and clinical judgment.

Responsibilities

• Triage oncology patient calls regarding treatment, surgery, and appointment information.
• Monitor and provide patient symptom management.
• Manage high-risk, complex patient care to minimize ED or inpatient readmission.
• Assess barriers to care and address patient, caregiver, or family needs.
• Provide patient-centered education, resources, and referrals.
• Assist physician and midlevel providers with patient interactions and clinical issues.
• Complete requested clinical documentation as needed.
• Maintain professional boundaries and collaborate with the cancer care team.
