Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Nurse Clinician to provide triage and nursing care at our Lake Forest hospital campus. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week role operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, primarily answering patient calls and messages via phone and the Epic EMR system.

The position emphasizes clinical assessments, patient education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• RN licensure in Illinois.
• BSN degree preferred for some oncology roles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments via phone or in person and document in the medical record.
• Administer phlebotomy, medications, and routine nursing duties as needed.
• Interpret abnormalities from tests and coordinate appropriate actions.
• Triage and prioritize incoming calls and coordinate care with other departments.
