Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a full-time Triage Nurse at the Deerfield clinic. The role provides clinically expert triage within a physician's practice, serving as liaison between patients and providers, assessing acuity and guiding next steps.

The ideal candidate is a licensed RN with IL certification, BLS, and 3 years of hospital or outpatient experience. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, with a strong emphasis on patient-first care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Illinois (IL) with current BLS CPR certification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in hospital or outpatient setting.
• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage all incoming calls and messages, routing to provider as needed.
• Document all communications in the EMR.
• Schedule visits for patients when triage indicates.
• Coordinate emergencies and transfers as required.
• Administer medications and treatments per provider orders.
• Educate patients and staff on clinical issues.
