Job summary

MSPCA-Angell in Boston is seeking a full-time, experienced Certified Veterinary Technician for a lead role in the Inpatient Services. This leadership position supports clinicians in triage, stabilization and high-quality nursing care, with responsibilities spanning training staff and guiding patient care in emergency and critical care settings.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of CVT experience, prior leadership or supervisory experience, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a certified veterinary technician.
• Emergency/Critical Care experience preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities; able to train others.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Inpatient Services team and provide high-quality nursing care to patients.
• Assist clinicians in triage, stabilization and monitoring.
• Train veterinary students, interns, residents and staff.
• Perform phlebotomy and IV catheter placement.
• Provide CPR and anesthetic monitoring; follow department policies.
