Job summary

Veterinary Technician, Oncology at VESH in West Springfield, MA seeks a CVT/RVT/LVT passionate about oncology. Full-time with four 9-hour shifts or three 12-hour shifts. Competitive hourly compensation based on experience, plus shift differentials.

Join a 24-hour, state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital under Ethos Veterinary Health. Responsibilities include assisting with chemotherapy, patient exams, diagnostics, sample collection, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Certified Veterinary Technician with MA license required.
• Oncology experience helpful but not required.
• Strong communication and client education skills expected.
• Ability to perform medical calculations and assist with chemotherapy administration.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intakes and obtain detailed medical histories.
• Review treatment plans, cost estimates, medications, and discharge instructions with clients.
• Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, procedures, and chemotherapy administration.
• Collect and prepare diagnostic samples (blood, urine, aspirates).
• Perform medical calculations and administer medications per protocol.
• Assist with radiographs, CT, ultrasound, and patient positioning.
