Job summary

Highlands Oncology Group in Springdale, AR is seeking a Scheduler for our CARE Clinic. You will handle intake, scheduling and work-up of new patient referrals, coordinate care from referral to follow-up, and assist with day-to-day operations of CARE Clinic. This role requires excellent communication, multi-tasking, and proficiency with EMR and Excel.

Training provided; oncology experience preferred. Full-time, nonexempt position in a patient-centered team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or equivalent.
• At least two years of oncology or women’s health experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and typing skills; proficient in EMR and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Intake, scheduling and work-up of new patient referrals.
• Assist with outside scheduling and day-to-day operations of CARE Clinic.
• Cover as Medical Assistant in clinic with Advanced Practice Providers as needed.
• Promptly carry out urgent referrals/orders and ensure timely scheduling of diagnostics.
• Manage appointment reminders and patient communications.
• Keep APPs and managers informed of patient progress and issues.
