Job summary

Banner Health's Scottsdale expansion team is seeking a Senior Oncology Scheduling Specialist to lead scheduling across physicians, medical facilities, and oncology practices, and to train schedulers while ensuring accuracy and quality of scheduling operations.

You will build relationships with internal and external customers, drive improvements, and mentor the team, delivering compassionate, patient-centered service. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm at the BMDA Infusion Center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; three years scheduling experience in a physician’s office or hospital.
• At least one year in Banner Oncology scheduling; medical terminology may be required.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills; proficiency with scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and mentorship to Schedulers and lead scheduling orders.
• Identify learning needs and develop education materials with department leadership.
• Perform scheduling tasks as needed to support business needs and volumes.
• Communicate effectively across channels to deliver an empathetic patient experience.
• Serve as oncology scheduling SME and ensure procedures are followed.
• Support QA/Auditing and drive process improvements within scheduling.
