Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking an Oncology Scheduler for an as-needed basis. Monday to Friday 7:30a-4p, 8a-4:30p, or 8:30a-5p with 30 minutes for lunch. The role supports scheduling for Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Chest Surgery, and IVOP, using Meditech Expanse and Aria EMR.

The Scheduler pre-registers patients, collects information, and transfers calls as needed. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Two years in a healthcare office setting; Oncology exposure preferred
• Proficiency with MS Word and Outlook; experience with EMR systems
• Strong communication, verbal and written; professional telephone etiquette
• Ability to manage multiple phone lines and prioritize tasks

Responsibilities

• Answer scheduling related calls and schedule physician visits per template
• Pre-register patients in EMR systems and arrange pre-visit paperwork
• Direct calls to appropriate staff and maintain excellent patient communication
• Provide administrative support for Oncology Service Line activities and meetings
