Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking an Oncology Scheduler to coordinate complex chemotherapy and cancer treatment scheduling. This role manages multi-day and multi-week treatment cycles, coordinating infusion, transfusion, labs, surgery, and radiation for oncology patients.

The scheduler works with physicians, APPs, nurses, and other staff to ensure accurate, timely appointments and seamless transitions in patient care, including pre-registration and prior authorization processes.

Qualifications

• Experience with complex scheduling algorithms and coordinating multiple modalities.
• Excellent communication and patient/customer service skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate complex chemotherapy and radiation treatment schedules, including labs, imaging, and MD visits.
• Arrange same-day add-ons and transitions between inpatient and outpatient care.
• Communicate with physicians, APPs, nurses, and staff to ensure availability of facilities and timely care.
• Obtain prior authorizations and handle pre-registration for treatments.
• Collaborate with Pharmacy on drug availability and delivery timelines.
