Job summary

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide cost-effective, quality patient care.
• Performs ongoing assessments, formulates nursing diagnoses and goals, plans interventions, and evaluates outcomes.
• Documents in patient and unit records according to care standards to meet legal and quality requirements.
• Provides teaching and information to patients and families on Pain Management, Nutrition, Skin Integrity, Fall prevention, Diabetes, Smoking cessation, and discharge instructions.
• Demonstrates commitment to patient, hospital and nursing goals through confidentiality, ethics and patient safety.
• Uses evidence-based interventions and collaborates with Outcomes managers and department.
