Job summary

Qualifications

• BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) is required.
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience.
• Texas RN license is required.
• BLS (AHA) certification within 14 days.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient-focused, cost-conscious care.
• Performs ongoing assessments, diagnoses, planning, interventions and evaluation.
• Documents in patient/unit records per health system standards to ensure quality and legal care.
• Provides teaching to patients and families on pain management, nutrition, skin integrity and discharge instructions.
• Demonstrates commitment to patient safety and hospital values while maintaining confidentiality.
• Participates in research activities and collaborates with Outcomes managers when appropriate.
