Qualifications

• 1–3 years of healthcare experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• English reading, writing and speaking ability
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling of Medical, Surgical, Radiation Oncology, Infusion and referrals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Serve as hub for appointment requests across clinic sites and verify demographics, insurance and active referrals.
• Interact with patients by phone or in person, maintaining courteous, accurate scheduling and data entry.
• Make outbound calls to prepare patients for appointments or reschedule missed visits to avoid delays in care.
• If based in call center, meet phone performance metrics such as abandonment rate and dispositioning.
• If based in clinic location, ensure accurate orders and transcribed documentation.
