The ideal candidate has 3+ years in financial counseling or AR collections, preferably in oncology, and strong communication skills. On-site position with a patient-centered mission and collaborative team.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial counseling or AR collections.
• Oncology healthcare experience is a plus.
• Expertise in insurance policies and medical billing.

Responsabilidades

• Educate patients about insurance coverage and benefits.
• Determine patient financial ability to pay.
• Collect patient responsibility prior to treatments and procedures.
• Inform the practice of balances due at time of service.
• Provide financial counseling for payment arrangements and financial assistance.
• Process financial assistance applications based on policies.
• Document all activity in EMR and Practice Management systems.
• Respond to patient inquiries within 24 hours.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Coordinate with front office and clinical staff regarding scheduling and billing needs.
• Assist with external social services referrals as needed.
• Follow standard procedures to ensure timely financial turn-around.
