Virginia Cancer Specialists in Arlington is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to act as the medical liaison among patients, the practice, hospitals, and payors. Under supervision, you will gather chart information, coordinate referrals, manage insurance questions, and help patients navigate financial resources.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (some college preferred), 2+ years in medical coding/billing or patient advocacy, and proficiency with computer systems and MS

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• At least 2 years of related experience such as medical coding or billing, patient advocate, or social services.
• Must articulate information clearly and be personable; proficiency with computer systems and MS Office.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate physician referrals and oncology-related appointments.
• Resolve insurance billing and coding issues; verify eligibility and pre-authorizations.
• Educate patients on insurance benefits, co-pays, and financial resources.
• Maintain patient demographics and medical records; ensure accurate documentation.
