Job summary

Qualifications

BSN required for PDS I; MSN required for PDS II.
Massachusetts and/or New Hampshire RN license required.
3 years of clinical nursing experience and 1 year of oncology experience.
Experience in nursing education or staff development preferred.
Professional certification required within 3 years of hire (NPD-BC, Oncology-specific).

Responsibilities

Demonstrates expertise in oncology clinical practice and identifies opportunities for improvement.
Supports nurses in symptom management and education based on etiologies and guidelines.
Assesses patient and family learning needs and evaluates teaching strategies.
May provide direct patient care and consult with nurses/clinical staff about patients.
Collaborates with nurses and NPCS to influence nursing practices and improve outcomes.
