Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking a Professional Development Specialist to lead and evaluate nursing education programs across multiple locations in the Boston area. The role focuses on competency development, staff mentoring, and regulatory compliance.

The PDS works with Clinical Practice Specialists and multidisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based training aligned with ONC/ANPD standards. A BSN is required for PDS I and MSN for PDS II, with MA/NH RN licensure and oncology

Qualifications

• BSN is required for PDS I; MSN is required for PDS II.
• Current RN license in MA and/or NH as job requires.
• 3 years of clinical nursing experience and 1 year of oncology experience.
• Professional certification within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement and evaluate educational programs to support nursing staff development.
• Interact daily with staff to address clinical issues and competency development.
• Mentor staff and collaborate with CPS and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and ANCC/ONN guidelines.
• Lead orientation planning and evaluat ion of unit-based education.
