Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong phlebotomy skills.
• Knowledge of medical laboratory procedures.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn electronic medical record systems.
• Previous Oncology/Hematology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and document vital signs, allergies, medications, and pain scales.
• Prepare exam rooms and patient charts for provider visits.
• Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures.
• Perform blood draws, injections, and other clinical tasks within scope of practice.
• Assist with bone marrow biopsy procedures.
• Maintain lab supplies and equipment; process laboratory specimens for shipment.
• Monitor equipment calibration and quality-control documentation.
• Support satellite clinic operations and travel to other locations as needed.
